i looked in that direction
expecting to see your face
just a few yards away
smiling
your pixie bangs
hanging on either side
of your beautiful
brown eyes
i was greeted instead
with an empty spot
nobody there
just a vacuum
where the goddess
i love
used to be
she may not be there
but she is still here
